Our journey began in 2016 when founder Shermara Walker desired to build a company dedicated to offering a turnkey HR solution that allows organizations to focus more on their core business objectives and mission.
After many years in Corporate America, working alongside fast-growing companies, Shermara realized how frequently companies prioritize growth in numbers over their employees. She saw this as an opportunity to help start-ups and small businesses understand the importance of human capital as they continue to grow because, without human capital, growth in numbers could cease to exist. Having worked in every aspect of her parents’ respective businesses: restaurants, grocery stores, and house cleaning, Shermara had acquired basic knowledge and experience in business management. Her family instilled the value of hard work and of going above and beyond to serve each customer with deep respect. During her career in HR, she has held every position within an HR department including recruiting, management, employee relations, and training. She gained a wealth of knowledge and a deep understanding of the many aspects that go into setting up a proper HR infrastructure within a company. This infrastructure serves as a springboard for a company’s growth, allowing leadership to focus on their core business. And throughout her operations, Shermara and all her employees champion integrity, flexibility, honesty, and commitment as fundamental principles.
